Prague has Řepy and City of Dreams Delhi has huge suburb called Dwarka. Immense weed-choked spaces where cows graze and which will be shopping malls one day. Empty wide boulevards disappearing into distance, well manicured parks crisscrossed by high voltage electric wires. Marble tiled office block here nad there. Housing blocks surrounded with tall fences, gates open, unguarded. Overground metro stations Dwarka 9 to Dwarka 14. Most of it is still being built. It is supposed to be living in green for million people, city where it is joy to live and where no criminal activity is tolerated. But even now you can tell it is not going to work, it is not going to be like Chandighar. It reminds those less pleasing parts of housing projects of Europe, only the buildings are strangely decorative.
Big empty spaces are boon for kids from surrounding quarters. Walk there in the evening and you will be invited for a game of cricket.
