Tags:

I finally left mountains and got to low lands. I have got nice suntan. When I take off my sunglasses, I look like an owl. Besides of that I cycled from the highest pass in the world, didn't freeze driving evil looking motorcycle when making trips to stone crushers and gompa in Lamayuru. Had great time watching few polo matches in Leh and ritual dances in Spitok and rode one of the most spectacular highways in the world.

In McLeod Ganj I have heard but not seen Dalai Lama, watched monks hanging out in cofeehouses and saw some propaganda in kindergarten. I made a trip on a toy train form Kangra to Palampur on narrow-gauge railway with 950 bridges on the whole track.

In Shimla monsters were hissing at me and I filled form F.P.-19 C2/CP3 at the post office. And then I took a ride on the steepest railway in the world and now I am in Chandighar in the plains of Punjab a Haryana, barely 300 meters above sea level.

Le Corbusier Unbound

Chandighar works suprisingly well and has that optimistic and little naive feel of fifties and sixties, when people believed in the Brave New World – which did not happen. (And instead of that came Disco and hair grease and then eighties and cocaine.) More
